Bookmarks
We love books. Like, and let us be clear we are not making this up, we actually had to buy a building just to house and share them, because we wanted our second floor back. These bookmarks range from the sturdy to the delicate, from the plain to the intricate. But they all promise to keep your place in your new favorite tome.
Made using wood from carefully selected logs harvested along the Shore. Most had been destined for the wood burning stove but they decided they were more literary minded and instead called out to be made into something that will accompany you through your reading adventures.
The shape and size will vary with the wood available, but, handcrafted as it is, the exact dimensions and design will be at least literarily perfect.
The tassels either come from Frost River Trading Company (www.frostriver.com) after they generously provided us with some of their leather scraps or from leather jackets or hand bags we thrifted and deconstructed here at the Wheelhouse.
As for Frost River’s contributions, a big shout-out to them for doing that, especially because they make every effort to use as much as possible in their own production! Check out their website for some great products. They’re a solid group of people and produce the majority of their products upstairs in their store in West Duluth, a must visit if you’re heading up into our neck of the woods!
As with all of our homemade products, variations on the theme are to be expected—and welcomed!
Also, think of some custom options for your book groups, congregations, family reunions or besties and make a custom order request.
